Accomplishments
My greatest achievements for myself would be academics, music & art and sports. These have shaped me into who I am as a person. To date my grandest achievement would have been the Anti-Bullying Campaign that I successfully directed with the Connections Program. Seeing students crying in the audience during my speech and the speeches of various bullying spokespeople made it surreal and justified my reason for doing it. In fact, I feel that I have touched a lot of hearts and made a difference. Following the campaign our group met with the sponsor representatives from RBC and Cenovus, and asked for all of my posters. The overall response for the Anti-Bullying Campaign was exceptional; receiving successful recognition from our school and from media sources such as the “Medicine Hat News”.
Other forms of personal achievements include academic accomplishments such as receiving Honors in school academics and all music exams with the Royal Conservatory. In regards to sports, I have placed in Alberta Provincials with Volleyball, Cross Country, and Track and Field, and have won badminton Singles City and Southern Alberta Championships. Recognition to such success includes winning the Cross Country Award at the Athletics’ Banquet as Athlete of the Year 2014. Similarly, I have received recognition with Art through which I have won the Young Artists First Place Award and had my Art featured at the Medicine Hat Esplanade and other Art Galas around the city.
